The Goddard Lions baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Andover Trojans to 2 in the Lions league win on Friday.

The Lions now own a 6-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwest for a non-league test on Wednesday, May 7. Goddard will clash with a Grizzlies team coming off a 5-2 league win over Heights (Wichita, KS). The Grizzlies record now stands at 11-9.

With the defeat, Andover drops to 13-10 on the year. The Trojans travel to Salina Central (Salina, KS) to clash with the Mustangs in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division II test on Tuesday, May 6. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 9-8. Salina Central won 13-0 in their recent league test against Newton (Newton, KS)
