Massachusetts High School Baseball - Greater New Bedford RVT holds off Apponequet Regional

In Friday's league game, the host Greater New Bedford RVT Bears baseball team scored a close 4-0 victory over the Apponequet Regional Lakers.

The Bears (6-8) will now prepare for their game against Somerset Berkley Regional (Somerset, MA). The Raiders enter the South Coast game with a 10-3 record. In their last game, Somerset Berkley Regional held off Case (Swansea, MA), 9-0, in a league game.

Next, the Lakers face the Old Rochester Regional Bulldogs (Mattapoisett, MA) in a South Coast challenge, on Monday, May 5. Apponequet Regional will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 3-2 league loss to Dighton-Rehoboth Regional (North Dighton, MA).
