In Friday's league game, the host Babylon Panthers baseball team scored a close 10-3 win over the Port Jefferson Royals.

The Panthers (14-3) will now prepare for their game against Pierson (Sag Harbor, NY). The Whalers go into the Section 11 B-8 game with a 10-7 record. In their last game, Pierson nudged Mattituck (Mattituck, NY), 2-1, in a league game.

Next, the Royals play the Mattituck Tuckers (Mattituck, NY) in a Section 11 A-7 game, on Tuesday, May 6. Port Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Tuckers go into the game with a 2-15 record after their 2-1 league loss to Pierson (Sag Harbor, NY).
