The Lyons Lions baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Beloit Trojans to 0 in the Lions non-league win on Friday.

The Lions now hold a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Skyline for a non-league test on Monday, May 5. Lyons will play a Thunderbirds team coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Ellis (Ellis, KS). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 0-14.

With the defeat, Beloit drops to 10-5 on the year. The Trojans host Clay Center (Clay Center, KS) to play the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, May 9. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 15-6. Clay Center lost 4-1 in their recent non-league test against Rock Creek (St. George, KS)
