The Broadway Gobblers baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Rocktown Raptors to 1 in the Gobblers non-league win on Friday.
The Gobblers now hold a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harrisonburg for a Valley test on Monday, May 5. Broadway will play a Blue Streaks team coming off a 12-0 league loss to Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 0-9.
With the defeat, Rocktown drops to 0-6 on the year. The Raptors travel to Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA) to play the Trailblazers in a Valley test on Friday, May 16. The Trailblazers go into the test with a record of 12-3.
