The Rye Garnets baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Edgemont Panthers to 0 in the Garnets league win on Friday.
The Garnets now hold a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Croton-Harmon for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 6. Rye will play a Tigers team coming off a 6-5 league win over Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 10-4.
With the defeat, Edgemont drops to 2-11 on the year. The Panthers host Rye Neck (Mamaroneck, NY) to play the Panthers in a Section 1 Conference 3 - A test on Monday, May 5. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 3-9.
