West York Area Bulldogs (York, PA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Gettysburg Warriors (Gettysburg, PA), 2-1 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, West York Area advances its record to 12-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to South Western (Hanover, PA) to battle the Mustangs in a YAIAA 1 match on Monday, May 5. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 2-16. South Western lost 13-3 in their recent non-league match against Ephrata (Ephrata, PA)

The Warriors now have a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palmyra for a Mid-Penn - Keystone match on Tuesday, May 6. Gettysburg will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 16-4 non-league win over Donegal (Mt. Joy, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 18-0.
