In Friday's non-league bout, the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs (Papillion, NE) baseball squad the visiting Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE), by a tally of 2-0.
Next up, the Monarchs encounter the Omaha Central Eagles (Omaha, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 3. Papillion-LaVista will attempt to upgrade on its 16-10 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 11-13 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Lincoln Southeast (Lincoln, NE).
The Dragons (10-13) will now prepare for their test against Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE). The Thunderbirds go into the non-league test with a 17-8 record. In their last test, Bellevue West nudged Blair (Blair, NE), 4-2, in a non-league test.
