Loyola Crusaders (Mankato, MN) boosters exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they saw their baseball team get by the host Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers (New Ulm, MN), 2-1 in a non-league battle.

The Crusaders (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against New Ulm Cathedral (New Ulm, MN). The Greyhounds enter the non-league battle with a 8-1 record. In their last battle, New Ulm Cathedral held off Wabasso (Wabasso, MN), 15-4, in a league battle.

Next, the Chargers face the Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, May 6. Minnesota Valley Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 8-5 record after their 7-4 non-league win over Triton (Dodge Center, MN).
