The Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) baseball got by the visiting Moline Maroons (Moline, IL), 11-10 in Friday's league challenge.

The Rocks now own a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they host Alleman for a Western Big Six challenge on Monday, May 5. Rock Island will clash with a Pioneers team coming off a 11-7 non-league loss to Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Pioneers record now stands at 18-8.

With the defeat, Moline drops to 15-9 on the year. The Maroons travel to Normal Community (Normal, IL) to clash with the Ironmen in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 3. The Ironmen go into the challenge with a record of 18-4. Normal Community won 12-1 in their recent league challenge against Richwoods (Peoria, IL)
