In Friday's league challenge, the host Cupertino Pioneers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Los Gatos Wildcats.

The Pioneers (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Homestead (Cupertino, CA). The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 17-6 record. In their last challenge, Homestead edged Lynbrook (San Jose, CA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Harker Eagles (San Jose, CA) in a challenge, on Monday, May 5. Los Gatos will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 2-0 league loss to Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA).
