In Friday's non-league contest, the host Mahwah Thunderbirds lacrosse squad scored a tight 8-3 triumph over the Fair Lawn Cutters.

The Thunderbirds (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Westwood (Washington Township, NJ). The Cardinals go into the non-league contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Westwood held off Ramsey (Ramsey, NJ), 13-6, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Cutters meet the Montville Mustangs (Montville, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 10. Fair Lawn will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 3-7 record after their 22-10 non-league loss to Morris Knolls (Rockaway, NJ).
