The Monticello Mustangs lacrosse squad scored 10 points and limited the visiting James River Midlothian Rapids to 0 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host Goochland for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 8.

With the loss, James River Midlothian falls to 4-8 on the year. The Rapids travel to Midlothian (Midlothian, VA) to clash with the Trojans in a Dominion challenge on Monday, May 5. The Trojans go into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Midlothian lost 18-5 in their recent league challenge against Cosby (Midlothian, VA)
