The El Cerrito Gauchos baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Albany Cougars to 3 in the Gauchos league win on Friday.

The Gauchos now hold a 13-9 record. They take the field next when they host Pinole Valley for a test on Monday, May 5. El Cerrito will play a Spartans team coming off a 3-0 league win over De Anza (El Sobrante, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 7-4.

With the defeat, Albany drops to 7-15 on the year.
