The Monticello Sages edged the visiting Argenta-Oreana Bombers softball squad by a count of 7-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Sages meet the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record.

The Bombers (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Arcola (Arcola, IL). The Purple Riders enter the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
