In Friday's non-league match, the host Churchill Chargers softball team scored a nice 15-5 win over the Franklin Patriots.

The Chargers (5-1) will now prepare for their match against South Lyon East (South Lyon, MI). The Cougars come into the non-league match with a 11-0 record. In their last match, South Lyon East notched a victory over Divine Child (Dearborn, MI), 18-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Dearborn Pioneers (Dearborn, MI) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, May 7. Franklin will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Pioneers come into the match with a 1-4 record after their 21-0 non-league loss to Divine Child (Dearborn, MI).
