In Friday's league contest, the Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA) soccer team edged the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), by a count of 2-1.
Next, the Trailblazers battle the Turner Ashby Knights (Bridgewater, VA) in a Valley contest, on Tuesday, May 6. Spotswood will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Knights enter the contest with a 10-1 record after their 3-1 league win over Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA).
The Wildcats (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA). The Dragons enter the Valley contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, William Monroe held off Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA), 4-1, in a league contest.
