In Friday's non-league match, the host Archbishop Williams Bishops softball team scored a tight 10-4 win over the Braintree Wamps.
The Bishops (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Cardinal Spellman (Brockton, MA). The Cardinals come into the Catholic Central - Large match with a 6-1 record.
In their next game, the Wamps battle the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans (Bridgewater, MA) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 9. Braintree will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record.
