The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH) and the visiting River Valley Raiders (Bidwell, OH), observed Athens's softball team get by River Valley by a tally of 12-5.

The Bulldogs (16-4) will now prepare for their bout against Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH). The Buckeyes go into the Tri-Valley - Ohio bout with a 12-6 record.

In their next game, the Raiders clash with the Eastern Eagles (Reedsville, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, May 6. River Valley will attempt to advance on its 3-12 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 13-8 record after their 11-5 non-league win over Vinton County (McArthur, OH).
