Cross Stingrays (Bluffton, SC) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bridges Prep Buccaneers (Beaufort, SC), 17-12 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Cross improves its record to 12-7 on the year. The Stingrays host Andrew Jackson Academy (Ehrhardt, SC) to play the Warriors in a SCISA AA Region III game on Monday, May 5. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 2-11. Andrew Jackson Academy lost 16-3 in their recent non-league game against Dorchester Academy (St. George, SC)

The Buccaneers now hold a 4-11 record.
