Maine High School Softball - Central can't get by Orono

Orono Riots (Orono, ME) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME), 10-9 in a league game.

With the triumph, Orono upgrades its record to 2-2 on the year. The Riots host Houlton (Houlton, ME) to play the Shiretowners in a Class C North game on Saturday, May 3. The Shiretowners enter the game with a record of 0-1. Houlton lost 5-0 in their recent non-league game against Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME)

The Red Devils now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Piscataquis for a non-league game on Monday, May 5. Central will play a Pirates squad coming off a 13-8 non-league win over Greenville (Greenville, ME). The Pirates record now stands at 1-2.
