The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) and the visiting McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA), observed Langley's softball team get by McLean by a tally of 1-0.
The Saxons (13-5) will now prepare for their bout against Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Generals go into the Liberty bout with a 3-12 record. In their last bout, Washington-Liberty was nipped by Wakefield School (The Plains, VA), 17-1, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Highlanders clash with the Wakefield Warriors (Arlington, VA) in a Liberty bout, on Tuesday, May 6. McLean will attempt to advance on its 13-1 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 17-1 league win over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA).
