The Ward Melville Patriots softball team scored 17 runs and held the host Lindenhurst Bulldogs to 0 in the Patriots league win on Friday.

The Patriots now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bellport for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 3. Ward Melville will encounter a Clippers team coming off a 10-0 league loss to West Islip (West Islip, NY). The Clippers record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Lindenhurst moves to 0-11 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Walt Whitman (Huntington Station, NY) to encounter the Wildcats in a Section 11 AA-1 battle on Wednesday, May 7. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 6-7. Walt Whitman lost 6-0 in their recent non-league battle against West Babylon (West Babylon, NY)
