The Oakmont Regional Spartans overwhelmed the visiting Quabbin Regional Panthers softball squad by a count of 9-4 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Spartans meet the Montachusett RVT Bulldogs (Fitchburg, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 5. Oakmont Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.

The Panthers (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lunenburg (Lunenburg, MA). The Blue Knights go into the Midland-Wachusett C challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Lunenburg held off Littleton (Littleton, MA), 6-5, in a non-league challenge.
