West Virginia High School Softball - Preston can't get by Tucker County

May 2, 2025: Kingwood, WV 26537

Tucker County Mountain Lions (Hambleton, WV) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 8-7 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Tucker County upgrades its record to 8-8 on the year.

The Knights now own a 6-16 record. They play next when they host Philip Barbour for a Big Ten game on Saturday, May 3. Preston will play a Colts squad coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Petersburg (Petersburg, WV). The Colts record now stands at 8-11.
