Illinois High School Softball - Chester can't get by Steeleville

The Steeleville Warriors edged the visiting Chester Yellowjackets softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Warriors meet the Sparta Bulldogs (Sparta, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 2. Steeleville will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 5-4 league loss to Okawville (Okawville, IL).

The Yellowjackets (11-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Trico (Campbell Hill, IL). The Pioneers enter the non-league challenge with a 14-7 record. In their last challenge, Trico was nudged by Johnston City (Johnston City, IL), 5-2, in a league challenge.
