The Lake Region Lakers softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting York Wildcats to 4 in the Lakers league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Lake Region moves its record to 6-4 on the year. The Lakers travel to Greely (Cumberland Center, ME) to clash with the Rangers in a Class B South game on Monday, May 23. The Rangers come into the game with a record of 2-3. Greely won 17-11 in their recent league game against Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME)

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Brunswick Dragons (Brunswick, ME) in a non-league test, on Saturday, May 21. York will attempt to improve on its 12-2 season record.
