In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting East Grand Rapids Pioneers baseball team scored a tight 8-2 victory over the Catholic Central Cougars.

The Pioneers (14-14) will now prepare for their game against Greenville (Greenville, MI). The Yellow Jackets go into the Ottawa-Kent - White game with a 4-20 record. In their last game, Greenville was overwhelmed by Northview (Grand Rapids, MI), 12-2, in a non-league game.
