In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks baseball team scored a nice 13-3 victory over the East Chicago Central Cardinals.
The Hawks (9-13) will now prepare for their game against Washington Township (Valparaiso, IN). The Senators go into the non-league game with a 10-12 record. In their last game, Washington Township was overwhelmed by South Bend Adams (South Bend, IN), 10-4, in a non-league game.
The Cardinals (5-15) will now prepare for their game against Lake Central (St. John, IN). The Indians go into the non-league game with a 23-4 record. In their last game, Lake Central overcame Warsaw (Warsaw, IN), 13-3, in a non-league game.
