Waynflete Flyers (Portland, ME) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the visiting Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME), 18-1 in a league battle.

The Flyers now have a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cheverus for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 23. Waynflete will clash with a Stags squad coming off a 9-4 league loss to Windham (Windham, ME). The Stags record now stands at 4-6.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME) in a Class C battle, on Wednesday, May 24. Gray-New Gloucester will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Falcons come into the battle with a 6-7 record after their 16-9 non-league loss to Greely (Cumberland Center, ME).
