Lakeland Lakers (LaGrange, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Sturgis Trojans (Sturgis, MI), 17-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lakers now own a 13-12 record. They take the field next when they host Sturgis for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 20. Lakeland will face a Trojans squad coming off a 19-2 league loss to Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Sturgis falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Lakeland (LaGrange, IN) to face the Lakers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 20.
