Almont Raiders (Almont, MI) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Algonac Muskrats (Algonac, MI), 8-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Raiders face the Imlay City Spartans (Imlay City, MI) in a Blue Water Area challenge, on Tuesday, May 21. Almont will attempt to better on its 13-3 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 4-0 non-league win over North Branch (North Branch, MI).

The Muskrats now have a 2-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Armada for a Blue Water Area challenge on Thursday, May 23. Algonac will face a Tigers team coming off a 6-3 league win over Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI). The Tigers record now stands at 10-4.
