New Jersey High School Softball - Schalick gets by Our Lady of Mercy Academy

The Schalick Cougars (Pittsgrove, NJ) softball nipped the host Our Lady of Mercy Academy Villagers (Newfield, NJ), 1-0 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Cougars (9-8) will now prepare for their bout against Middle Township (Cape May Court House, NJ). The Panthers go into the non-league bout with a 14-8 record. In their last bout, Middle Township was edged by St. Joseph (Hammonton, NJ), 3-0, in a non-league bout.
The Villagers now possess a 10-11 record. They play next when they travel to Union Catholic for a non-league bout on Thursday, May 23. Our Lady of Mercy Academy will confront a Vikings squad coming off a 15-2 non-league win over Bound Brook (Bound Brook, NJ). The Vikings record now stands at 8-12.
