The Seneca Indians (Seneca, MO) baseball trounced the host East Newton Patriots (Granby, MO), 8-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Indians now own a 17-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Aurora for a Class 4 District 11 challenge on Wednesday, May 21. Seneca will clash with a Houn Dawgs team coming off a 7-3 league win over Monett (Monett, MO). The Houn Dawgs record now stands at 17-13.

With the defeat, East Newton drops to 17-14 on the year. The Patriots travel to Fair Grove (Fair Grove, MO) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 27. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 26-6. Fair Grove won 7-6 in their recent league challenge against Ava (Ava, MO)
