The Classical Purple volleyball squad (Providence, RI), was defeated 2-0 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI)

With the win, Coventry improves its record to 6-10 on the season. The Oakers host North Smithfield (North Smithfield, RI) to encounter the Northmen in a Division 1 battle on Thursday, May 22. The Northmen go into the battle with a record of 1-13. North Smithfield lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against La Salle Academy (Providence, RI)

The Purple now own a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cranston East for a Division 1 battle on Friday, May 23. Classical will encounter a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 11-5.
