The Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) baseball trounced the host Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), 15-5 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Fighting Hornets now own a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they host Charlottesville for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 23. Orange County will clash with a Black Knights team coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Black Knights record now stands at 6-11.

With the defeat, Monticello drops to 3-11 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA) to clash with the Flying Flucos in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 22. The Flying Flucos go into the challenge with a record of 15-1. Fluvanna County won 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Goochland (Goochland, VA)
