Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their lacrosse team top the host Classical Purple (Providence, RI), 14-0 in a league game.

With the victory, Ponaganset advances its record to 9-8 on the season. The Chieftains host Tiverton (Tiverton, RI) to play the Tigers in a Division 4 game on Wednesday, May 21. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 9-3. Tiverton lost 11-5 in their recent league game against Rogers (Newport, RI)

The Purple now sport a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln for a non-league game on Thursday, May 22. Classical will play a Lions team coming off a 20-6 league win over Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Lions record now stands at 11-4.
