In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Monticello Mustangs lacrosse squad scored a tight 12-7 triumph over the Orange County Fighting Hornets.

The Mustangs (12-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Flying Flucos go into the Jefferson challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, Fluvanna County was overwhelmed by Goochland (Goochland, VA), 17-13, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Fighting Hornets clash with the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a Jefferson challenge, on Wednesday, May 21. Orange County will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Flying Flucos go into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 17-13 non-league loss to Goochland (Goochland, VA).
