The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) and the host Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA), observed Fort Defiance's softball team get by Riverheads by a tally of 6-1.

The Indians (13-5) will now prepare for their bout against Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA). The Little Giants go into the Shenandoah bout with a 2-13 record. In their last bout, Waynesboro tipped Staunton (Staunton, VA), 23-2, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Gladiators battle the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) in a Shenandoah bout, on Wednesday, May 21. Riverheads will attempt to advance on its 6-7 season record. The Storm go into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 16-2 league loss to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA).
