In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Hood River Valley Eagles softball team scored a tight 9-6 victory over the Hillsboro Spartans.

The Eagles (19-5) will now prepare for their match against Centennial (Gresham, OR). The Eagles go into the 5A Northwest Oregon match with a 6-15 record. In their last match, Centennial was routed by Putnam (Milwaukie, OR), 13-8, in a league match.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the La Salle Falcons (Milwaukie, OR) in a 5A Northwest Oregon match, on Wednesday, May 21. Hillsboro will attempt to better on its 12-11 season record. The Falcons go into the match with a 14-11 record after their 15-9 league win over Wilsonville (Wilsonville, OR).
