Ohio High School Softball - Hopewell-Loudon New Riegel

The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting New Riegel Blue Jackets to 5 in the Chieftains league win on Tuesday.

The Chieftains now sport a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Joseph Central Catholic for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 21. Hopewell-Loudon will encounter a Crimson Streaks team coming off a 15-0 league loss to New Riegel (New Riegel, OH). The Crimson Streaks record now stands at 8-11.

With the loss, New Riegel moves to 15-4 on the season. The Blue jackets host Hardin Northern (Dola, OH) to encounter the Polar Bears in a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 21. The Polar Bears come into the battle with a record of 16-7. Hardin Northern lost 14-10 in their recent non-league battle against McComb (McComb, OH)
