Mendon Hornets (Mendon, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Burr Oak Bobcats (Burr Oak, MI), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 31-3 record. They take the field next when they host Marcellus for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 22. Mendon will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 23-0 non-league loss to Mendon (Mendon, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Burr Oak falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Waldron (Waldron, MI) to battle the Spartans in a Southern Central challenge on Thursday, May 23. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 3-1.
