Connecticut High School Softball - North Branford bounces Coginchaug Regional

North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils (Durham, CT), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 19-3 record. They take the field next when they host Old Lyme for a Shoreline - Large challenge on Saturday, May 25. North Branford will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 17-4.

With the loss, Coginchaug Regional falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Blue devils host New London (New London, CT) to face the Whalers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 22. The Whalers enter the challenge with a record of 5-11.
