The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) and the visiting Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), observed Springfield's softball team get by Lincoln by a tally of 3-2.

The Senators (20-5) will now prepare for their bout against Centennial (Champaign, IL). The Chargers go into the non-league bout with a 6-13 record. In their last bout, Centennial tipped Rantoul (Rantoul, IL), 10-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Railsplitters clash with the Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, May 22. Lincoln will attempt to advance on its 14-17 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 10-14 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Danville (Danville, IL).
