The Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners (Peabody, MA) softball routed the host Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA), 9-4 in Sunday's league bout.

The Tanners (14-1) will now prepare for their bout against Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA). The Chieftains go into the non-league bout with a 8-6 record. In their last bout, Masconomet Regional was routed by Beverly (Beverly, MA), 10-9, in a non-league bout.

The Fishermen now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Swampscott for a Northeast bout on Monday, May 23. Gloucester will confront a Big Blue squad coming off a 13-1 league loss to Saugus (Saugus, MA). The Big Blue record now stands at 6-9.
