The Stearns Minutemen got by the visiting Lee Academy Pandas baseball team by a count of 4-3 in Monday's league bout.
The Minutemen now possess a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bangor Christian for a Class D North bout on Friday, May 26. Stearns will face a Patriots team coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Searsport (Searsport, ME). The Patriots record now stands at 12-0.
The Pandas (5-7) will now prepare for their game against Central (East Corinth, ME). The Red Devils go into the non-league game with a 6-7 record. In their last game, Central tipped Bucksport (Bucksport, ME), 2-1, in a league game.
