Michigan High School Softball - Richmond gets by Almont

Spectators at Monday's league match between the Richmond Blue Devils (Richmond, MI) and the host Almont Raiders (Almont, MI), witnessed Richmond's softball squad tip Almont by a count of 5-4.

The Blue Devils now sport a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Oxford for a non-league match on Thursday, May 25. Richmond will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-3 league win over Avondale (Auburn Hills, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Almont moves to 21-2 on the season. The Raiders host Powers Catholic (Flint, MI) to meet the Chargers in a non-league match on Friday, May 26. The Chargers go into the match with a record of 9-17. Powers Catholic lost 19-4 in their recent league match against Midland (Midland, MI)
