Monadnock Huskies (East Swanzey, NH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gilford Golden Eagles (Gilford, NH), 6-5 in a league challenge.
The Huskies now sport a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brattleboro for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 23.
With the loss, Gilford falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Golden eagles host Somersworth (Somersworth, NH) to face the Toppers in a Division III challenge on Tuesday, May 23. The Toppers enter the challenge with a record of 4-1.
