Brattleboro Bears (Brattleboro, VT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Burr & Burton Bulldogs (Manchester, VT), 14-11 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they host Bellows Falls for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 29. Brattleboro will battle a Terriers squad coming off a 12-6 league loss to Otter Valley (Brandon, VT). The Terriers record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Burr & Burton falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Hartford (White River Junction, VT) to battle the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 28. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. Hartford won 13-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT)
