Central Montcalm Hornets (Stanton, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Chippewa Hills Warriors (Remus, MI), 14-0 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 18-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Catholic Central for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 23. Central Montcalm will face a Cougars squad coming off a 22-2 league win over Ottawa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI). The Cougars record now stands at 11-11.

With the loss, Chippewa Hills falls to 2-13 on the campaign. The Warriors host Morley Stanwood (Morley, MI) to face the Mohawks in a Central State Activities Association-Gold challenge on Tuesday, May 28. The Mohawks enter the challenge with a record of 6-9.
